Urgent Message to Wind & Solar: Steal the Republican Playbook — Now.

The wind and solar industries and their supporters are making an all-out push during the lame-duck session of Congress to preserve key tax provisions included in the expiring federal stimulus program.

This is good policy, but they’re making a messaging mistake.

Instead of “extend the tax incentives,” how about “Don’t raise taxes on clean energy jobs in the middle of a recession.”

Try it. It might help. It seems to be working in the income tax fight.
